A guide to submitting and tracking your references on Jobble.
Overview
Before submitting your first application on Jobble, you'll need to provide references. These references help businesses make informed hiring decisions by verifying your experience and qualifications. This guide will walk you through the process of adding, managing, and tracking your references.
Adding Your References
When signing up on Jobble, you are required to provide a minimum of 2 references, and you can add up to 5 from the past three years. At least 1 of these must be a professional reference.
You’ll need to provide the following details for each reference:
- Name
- Relationship to you
- Contact information (email/phone)
- Job title (if applicable)
After submitting your references, Jobble will reach out to them, and their feedback may influence your job applications.
Managing Your References
Once you've added your references, you can view and manage them through your account menu. You can edit contact details for pending or unreachable references, and even add more than the initial 5 you were able to enter during sign up.
Reference Statuses
To keep track of your references, Jobble provides three status updates for each entry:
-
Completed
Your reference has responded to the request and completed their feedback. You will no longer be able to edit their information. -
Pending
Your reference has not yet responded. You can update their contact information or remind them to check their email for the reference form. -
Unreachable
Jobble was unable to reach this reference using the provided contact information. You may update their details and try again.
Editing and Adding More References
For any references marked as Pending or Unreachable, you have the option to update their information. If you need to provide additional references, you can add more beyond the original 5 you included during sign-up.
Conclusion
Providing accurate and timely references is essential for landing your next job through Jobble. Stay on top of your reference statuses and make sure to update any information as needed to ensure the process goes smoothly.
